Pirates of the Mediterranean is a fiction-based game in which planning, information management, problem solving, process improvement and team steering powers are used with experiential learning team exercises in the content of our organizational outdoor development program; the development of team spirit and organizational awareness is targeted.
Fiction: Barbarossa Hayrettin and his brother Aruj; aka “Redbeards” are the most feared pirates of the Mediterranean. After capturing all the treasures of the Mediterranean, these two pirates covet the Pope’s treasure and steal it at the first opportunity. The Pope sends 10,000 Spanish soldiers after the pirates and the 10-year chase begins. Aruj 10. At the end of the year, he was killed in a firefight.
The study is designed in a way that requires teams to analyze the situation and consider the whole in order to achieve ultimate success. In order for teams to successfully complete the task assigned to them, this understanding needs to dominate all individuals and teams. The biggest feature of the study is that in cases where this approach is not adopted by all participants, even if some teams complete their own tasks, the result of the teams’ efforts in achieving the holistic goal in the game is negative.
The main objective of the training is to increase the awareness of the participants in areas of strengths and areas open to improvement in both strategy formulation and implementation. To this end, the participants are constantly observed by the trainer and the assistant trainers during the implementation and the results of the observations are shared with them at the end of the day.
