Goal: Employees who are skilled in team play create an atmosphere of camaraderie and set a personal example of respect, help and cooperation. They enable others to participate actively and enthusiastically in the collective effort, developing the spirit and identity of the group. Beyond their work obligations, they also make time to build and strengthen close relationships.
How to build effective teams? How to transform them into high-performance tools?
It is a 1-day program in which we will transfer the theory and practice and change management in order to equip the team players and team leaders in your organization with the necessary knowledge and skills.
LEONARDO BRIDGE
The idea of such a bridge belongs to Leonardo Da Vinci. In 1480, he designed a bridge that was portable and could be built without any tools.
One of the most important elements to become a better team is stability and the ability to build bridges across gaps and overcome obstacles.
So present your group with such a challenge. The Leonardo bridge visibly strengthens the team spirit among the participants.
The key factors needed for success are: coordination within the group, creativity and knowledge sharing. As a result, a bridge standing on its own becomes a metaphor for analyzing the stability and balance within a team.
Another issue to be discussed is to examine how teams develop step by step. Participants start building the bridge from both ends. The bridge helps them to come together. Eventually the two parts of the bridge merge into one. The key factors for success are coordination, cooperation and harmony between the two groups.
Team development: communication; information exchange, working with scarce resources, interaction within the team, mentoring.
Project management: using scarce resources, sharing know-how, creating creative-different solutions.
Intercultural communication: adaptation, developing the ability to listen to others’ thoughts.
CASTLE UNDER SIEGE
Kale Under Siege is an outdoor dynamic, functional and fun strategy and teamwork program that measures the team building skills of the participants in order to create synergy between groups.
In a challenge with one defensive team – “Fortress” – and multiple offensive teams, using catapults for the siege of the Fortress and the offense, we provide all materials for the construction of catapults. The castle will be built by our team and the participants will fight together to weaken the castle defenses and capture the castle.
Although the challenge part is a very fun activity, it is an experiential learning program in which serious lessons/teachings emerge in the preparation phase of the challenge in order to become a team and to move towards a common goal.
The game starts with the teams deciding what the basic requirements of their self-preparation will be. Quality construction skills are crucial in this sense.
Using limited resources in abundance can create some problems. At this stage, the team’s foresight and resource utilization are highly valued in planning. Especially if the catapult construction is not prepared for the task, undesirable problems will be encountered during the fight.
Managing the crisis will challenge teams to move all individuals to the stages of making a decision together. Teams need to use resources and planning effectively, as the approach will directly lead to success or failure in the fight.
